Deborah’s School of Shoemaking

The next beginner handmade shoemaking classes begin in September in West Asheville, two miles from downtown. Course teaches each student how to make themselves a pair of custom leather shoes from scratch. Skills include patterning, skiving, punching and broguing, sewing,  lasting, installing a shank, soling, heel stacking and pegging.

New students schedule a measuring session a few weeks before class begins to make sure lasts are available in your size.

Classes are held from noon to 4 pm and run for ten lessons. Additional class times available.
